ABOUT INDEE MOSS (b. 1981)

Dedicated to the pursuit of Contemporary Realism, Indee's work explores light and form across the core subjects of landscape, still life, and animals. Her aesthetic leans toward a minimalist realism; she strives to distill complex subjects into their essential beauty, utilizing clean compositions and vast negative space to invite a sense of quietude.

Indee applies skills gained through intensive study in classical drawing and painting techniques. This commitment to foundational training underpins her detailed handling of light, value, and color, which she applies to both life studies and studio compositions.

Indee currently works from her studio in Ames, Iowa, maintaining her artistic practice. Her work has been recognized with an Artists Network Award and exhibited at various institutions across the Midwest.
